Marijuana use in electronic cigarette or vaping products.
Marijuana use in electronic cigarette or vaping products can negatively impact health. Regardless of the substance in the vaping product, they should not be used by youth. Marijuana use in youth can harm the developing brain and negatively impact attention, learning and memory. When youth vape marijuana, they are putting their brains and lungs at risk. Vaping can be difficult to detect since they often do not produce smoke, have a minimal odor and vapor dissolves quickly. Vaping marijuana can cause bloodshot eyes, dry mouth and thirst, increased appetite and changes in behavior or mood. It is important for parents and guardians to talk to their children about the risks of nicotine/tobacco products, marijuana (THC) and other substance use.
